Sanford A. Roth, EE, President & CEO

Mr. Roth is the founder and a Director of MedSonics US, Inc. and is responsible for its development. He was instrumental in the development of the patent for bone monitoring. He also is a co-inventor of the patent for the process of soft tissue imaging developed by the company and researchers at Case Western University . He patented, and was President and founder of a company that developed, manufactured and sold low-power non-destructive ultrasound industrial test and measurement equipment to major manufacturing companies in the U.S. and internationally. His career has been in the high-technology electronics industry in corporate management, product and business development, and marketing, program and engineering management with Lockheed and RCA.

Gary R. Gust, Ph.D, CTO

Dr. Gust has successfully managed the development of diagnostic ultrasound medical imaging devices from inception through clinical studies, final product development, FDA approval and market introduction. This has been performed for Alcon Surgical of Fort Worth , Tex .., Mentor Ophthalmics, and several other companies. The devices he developed have sold over $100 million and included innovative features that subsequently became standard in the industry. Dr. Gust has extensive experience working in the FDA regulated environment and has implemented Quality Systems Regulations (QSR) and managed QSR Design Controls compliant engineering projects .

Richard S. Davidson, M.D., VP, Medical & Clinical Affairs

Dr. Davidson is a Director of MedSonics US, Inc . He is a Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Associate Clinical Professor of Orthopedics at the Medical School of the University of Pennsylvania for over the past 17 years. Dr. Davidson has special interests in fractures, complex limb deformity correction including bone lengthening, renal osteodystrophy and other metabolic conditions of bones, as well as correction of complex congenital deformities of bones and joints. He has published over 50 articles in peer review journals, including a paper on the use of ultrasound in the assessment of pediatric elbow fractures. In addition, he has authored educational chapters in orthopedic textbooks. He has also lectured nationally and internationally. He is President of the ASAMI Society (Association for the Study and Application of the Methods of Ilizarov [The Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Society]). He has also served as Chairman of the Research Committee of the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America developing “outcomes research”.

Jeffrey A. Brown, M.D., J.D., M.P.H., VP, Strategic Planning

Dr. Brown is a Director of MedSonics US, Inc He is an internationally recognized neuropsychiatric expert on occupation medicine and chronic pain. His clients have included “Big 5" public accounting firms, hospitals, insurance companies, HMO's, state and federal agencies, Fortune 500 corporations, state legislatures, and law firms. He is currently Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Medicine and Dentistry ( New Jersey ), He has been instrumental in the creation of Cogent Systems, Inc., maker of cognitive assisted devices and co-founder of Crossing Care, LLC, maker of medication for cancer patients. He is currently Chair of the International Health Network Society. He has been active in many professional associations and organizations. This includes being Group Medical Director of the Prudential Insurance Company; a Member of the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey Community Health Law Project; Vice President of the Unity Group; member of the Executive Board of the Tri-County Chapter of the New Jersey Psychiatric Association, and Fellow of the American Orthopsychiatric Association. He has been the recipient of numerous academic and professional awards, including the Dean Alway Award at Stanford and the Seymour Lustman Research Award at Yale.
